Head of Deposit Management Retail, Sanima Bank Limited
May 2024 – Present | Kathmandu, Bāgmatī, Nepal
He is tasked with spearheading sustainable retail deposit growth to enhance the overall profitability of Sanima Bank. He works in concert with various departments like priority banking, digital banking, transaction banking, CEO, Mancom, Relationship Managers (RMs), Deposit Management Unit (DMU-HO) Regional Officers (ROs), DMU branches, Branch Managers (BMs), Manager ECs, and other department heads. His function is to increase the bank’s retail deposits through strategic marketing, relationship management, and coordination with internal stakeholders as well as external retail account customers and institutions. He drives new business opportunities through coming up with effective support services and lead generation processes while managing business operations, customer relationships, ethical governance, risk management, system and procedure design, people management, and compliance. He monitors retail deposit flow, introduces and sells new deposit products, budgets retail deposits, and coordinates with colleagues to achieve targets for number and account volume. He is a strong supporter of high-performance culture based on performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement, leveraging his negotiation, analytical, communication, and reporting skills, along with deep knowledge of banking operations, products, and rules.
Head of Digital Banking, Sanima Bank Limited

He has headed the administrative, operational, and ICT elements of Sanima Bank’s e-banking payment products such as card products (debit/credit), internet banking, mobile banking, branchless banking, ATMs, and allied services for more than a decade. He worked with national and global collaborators like VISA, Mastercard, and with regulatory bodies to ensure harmony in operations and state and federal law complies. His duties involved writing proposals, analysis of customers’ requirements, the suggesting of profitable options, cost-benefit and risk analyses, and negotiations with customers over fees in order to achieve maximum profitability. He supported the bank’s deposit expansion efforts, made revenues from e-banking products, and achieved individual, departmental, and bank-wide targets. He also resolved electronic fund transfer (EFT) complaints and payment system, ATM, and card-related fraud claims. From May 2015, he was serving as an Information Security Officer (ISO), assuring information security operations, defining security procedures and standards, risk assessment management, compliance with policy and coordinating contingency plan exercise with the internal audit department.

He was responsible for developing, implementing, and managing card-related products and services at Bank of Kathmandu. His role involved developing card business strategies, leading projects, ensuring operational efficiency, managing customer relations, reducing risks, and leading a dedicated team of professionals. He analyzed market trends, customer needs, and business opportunities, developed pricing models, promotional campaigns, and market strategies, and launched key card-related projects, such as Visa-branded debit and credit cards. He optimized operational efficiency, established strong relationships with merchants and third-party vendors, and ensured compliance with international standards and local regulations, contributing to the bank’s growth and enhanced customer experiences.
Executive Director, Internet Club and Vianet Communication
1999 – 2004 | Hetauda, Nārāyanī, Nepal
As Executive Director and System Manager, he pioneered Hetauda’s first Internet Service Provider (ISP) in collaboration with Vianet Communication and C&C Kathmandu. He led the strategy and vision for introducing internet services in Hetauda through C-Band VSAT technology with dial-up modems. He was accountable for network infrastructure design, implementation, and maintenance, system performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and building relationships with clients, partners, and vendors to facilitate business development. He also offered end-to-end IT solutions, including computer assembly sales, hardware and software sales, network installations, and technical support. This project bridged the digital divide, empowering the Hetauda community with internet and digital technology.
